About Commafield

How it works
Commafield runs in your web browser. What you enter is processed on your device. The site has no account system or database for your entries. Only your option choices are remembered in this browser, never file contents.
What it handles
Comma, semicolon, tab and pipe files; UTF-8, UTF-16 and older encodings such as Windows-1252, Shift_JIS, GBK and Big5 (downloads are UTF-8); duplicates by entire row or one column, keeping the first or the last copy; comparisons by a unique ID that can ignore case and edge spaces; and protection against spreadsheet formulas: on by default for the cleaned file and always on for the differences report.
