Privacy & analytics
On this domain (csvlane.com) the statistics script does not run and no consent banner is shown. The rest of this paragraph applies only where the script is active. We use Google Analytics only after you choose Allow analytics. It records page visits and basic tool actions, including the website and action name. We do not send your files, text, form values, or generated results. Your choice is stored in a shared ToolWoven cookie for six months. Select Analytics settings in the footer to change it. Google may process analytics data under its own privacy policy.
The site does use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a small script (from static.cloudflareinsights.com) that Cloudflare adds to each page to count visits and measure page speed in aggregate; it reports to /cdn-cgi/rum on this domain. It does not receive your files, text or results. Cloudflare states that it does not use cookies or local storage for this and does not fingerprint visitors (cloudflare.com/web-analytics, read 21 October 2026).
Files and saved options
CSV files and pasted text are read and processed only inside your browser tab; they are not uploaded or stored. While a file is open, its contents stay in this tab’s memory so you can change the encoding or the options; closing or reloading the tab discards them. Commafield remembers your option choices (selected task, clean-up steps, which copy of a duplicate to keep, comparison options, output separator, formula protection and table view) in this browser’s localStorage under commafield.prefs.v1. File names and file contents are never saved. Clear your site data to remove the saved options.
